l love the whimsical chase of those fast-fleeting things -- clouds, shadows, hawks and crows -- the soaring, floating, fanciful things I do my best to photograph. I love tracking the transitory triumphs of luminous sunsets -- like a hunter wanting to trap fiery wonder for the heartfelt sake of keeping it alive!

Those are among the ephemeral things that capture us -- and then allow us to pretend or imagine we seized them, with a camera, our awareness, or a pen. And trees, blessed trees I could never take for granted or tire of, such as the redwoods, oaks, and evergreens that add oxygen to the air we breathe -- while offering shelter, shade, and true enchantment to any and every landscape they rise from.

“I dreamt I was a windstorm -- blowing through my affinity for trees” ~
